Road Rash gives you control of a motorcycle racer who must do whatever it takes to be the top racer. This includes punching, slapping, and kicking other racers on the track. To advance to each level, you will need to be one of the first four racers to cross the finish line. You will eventually earn clubs and chains to hit other players with. Should you lose stamina or veer off course, you will be ejected from your seat. The game will take note of the hits to your bike via the damage meter.
The bike will no longer be able to run when the meter runs low. Asides from damaging your bike, cops can also stop you from participating in the race. This happens whenever you crash your bike near their station. They will apprehend you so you will need to pay a fine to bail yourself out. Should you fail to pay the repairs or the bail, the game will end and you will need to start from the beginning. These are important for the game to run on DirectX 8.
